The Launch of my Second Book : A Destined Rendezvous (Available on #Amazon, #Flipkart, #Kindle)

No matter how old I am, I don’t think the butterflies and cold feet would ever go away. The nervousness is at its peak when it is finally the “Launch” day of my new book…

But not only me, even “Shreya” is equally nervous. And guess who is trying to calm her down?

“Riya” from “Till the End of Time”.

Riya: So how are you feeling?
Shreya: Well… excited and equally nervous.
Riya (with a chuckle): I can understand the excitement part.. but why nervous?
Shreya: Well nervous because I am not sure if they will love me as much as they loved you...
Riya: ha ha ha... Yeah!! I was nervous too! Was worried if they would like someone like me… you know... someone so ‘Riya-ish’… but you know what? I was just being me.. and they loved me and my story!!
Shreya: hmm
Riya: So don’t worry!!! You be you, and they will love you. And you are amazing. So confident, fiery…
Shreya: Yeah.. but at heart, I am just…
Riya(putting her finger on her lips): Shhhhh!! Let them find that out!!! I am sure they will love you and your story too… I am confident about it. Now, I should get back to ‘him’! .. and you to your readers…Good luck with your story, Shreya!!

Numb

Let me stay numb Maybe for a little longer Maybe for a day, a year, or for an eternity It is easy that way I don’t need to think of you And I don’t need to feel the pain I can’t anymore, you see I can’t anymore So just let me stay numb For a little longer I see you in shadows Trying to break the window I built Yeah, yeah, I did not build a wall As I had to see you once in a while You came, wrapped in the pain I could not bear anymore I could not breathe anymore I could not see anymore So you know, right, I had to go numb At least for a while So I could still think of you, in between, For a while… Like a muse Like a river Or like the rain And when the pain gets unbearable And the grief gets so heavy that I cannot carry it I have to… have to get numb Even if for a little bit Let me stay numb Maybe for a little longer Maybe for a day, a year, or for an eternity

The Last Letter ---- Part 1: Love story or…?

Part 1: Love at First Sight, or…?  The first time Maya saw Arjun, he was standing alone on the old stone bridge that overlooked the river, hands tucked in his jacket pockets, hair messy from the breeze, staring at the water as if it were speaking to him.  When she approached, he smiled softly. Almost shy. But in his eyes, just for a second....she saw something else. Something cold. Something Intense.  She didn't believe in love at first sight. She believed in books, Monday routines, and exactly three coffees per day. But something about the quiet way he smiled when she asked if he was okay made her pause, just long enough for the universe to slip something into place, as if something fluttered in her stomach, may be for a nano second.  Their meetings on the bridge became routine. Maya read books she barely remembered; Arjun watched the river or sketched in a frayed notebook. He was charming in a broken-boy way, effortlessly drawing out her curiosity.  "Moved her...

The Last Letter : Part 2

Part 2:  (...On the floor: another letter with her name on it... Read Part 1) Read Part 1 Another letter Maya, I’m sorry. I can't stop myself. I shouldn't care for you… but I do.   I shouldn't have fallen for you... but I did. If you're reading this, I've already left. ---A A sudden creak made her turn  A man in a dark blue jacket stood in the doorway. Not Arjun, someone else. "You shouldn't be here," he said with a  trembling voice---not with threat, but with fear. "Where is Arjun?" she demanded. He swallowed. "Do you know what he did? Years ago? The reason he keeps moving from city to city? You think he is sweet? You think he is gentle?" She took a step back, comfused. "What are you talking about?" The man stepped closer, raising his hands animatedly. "I'm not here to hurt you. I've been tracking him since the last incident. He gets close to someone--fixates on them, and... and it never en...
